The meditations are rich in substance and offer a wide range of witness and experiences. Each month’s meditation is written by a different author, providing fresh and diverse messages to readers on a regular basis.


Forward Day by Day is published quarterly: February/March/April; May/June/July; August/September/October; and November/December/January. 

About the Authors


February

Julie Bowers is a special education teacher and member of Christ the King Episcopal Church in Tucson, Arizona. She loves spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoys exploring the deserts and mountains of the southwestern United States.


March

Ellis Reyes Montes is a musician, writer, and lifelong Episcopalian from Houston, Texas. He is the music director of Grace Episcopal Church and a Story Weaver with the Beloved Community StorySharing Campaign. He maintains a blog, openlyepiscopalian.blogspot.com, where he seeks to investigate the love of God for all of God’s creation.


April

Scott Gunn is executive director of Forward Movement. His third book, The Way of Love: A Practical Guide to Following Jesus, was published in summer 2020. He lives in Cincinnati with Sherilyn and George, his spouse and his dog.
